Summary

Working in close cooperation with the production teams in the Finish area. Set up and improve innovative manufacturing processes. Supervise and support standardization and optimization, in consultation with our production teams. Increase productivity and effectiveness, in order to reach company goals and objectives. Ensure that all operations follow the methods and processes of the Volkswagen Production System (VPS).

Responsibilities


  • Create and maintain standardized work



  • Perform Ergonomic analyses based on EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet)



  • Evaluate manual cycle times using MTM (Methods-Time Measurement)



  • Identification of bottlenecks in both manual and automated processes



  • Determine manpower requirements based on build sequence, ergonomics, takt time, quality specifications, and design and equipment requirements



  • Continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes, including the design of the workstations and the flow of material.



  • Identify and avoid waste within processes and operation to establish lean manufacturing.



  • Evaluate the impact to manual processes of design changes and future models and incorporate these changes efficiently



  • Contribute to the achievement of plant KPI targets including man-hours per vehicle



  • Evaluating rework & repair mean time form completion and drive reductions to overall processing times



  • Support production team with failure root cause analysis & implement effective countermeasures to eliminate the defect



  • Support other Industrial Engineers and areas as needed



Qualifications

Required




  • 1+years of experience



  • 4 year degree or comparable background of work related experience



  • Innovative and self-motivated



  • Problem solving skills





Preferred




  • Industrial engineering experience in an automotivemanufacturing environment
