Title: Software Compliance Engineer

Location: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME

Clearance: Active Secret


Certification: Security+ or other equivalent


  • Work will be performed at designations within the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH.


  • Complete and report for Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.
  • Prepare and submit DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages quarterly depending on the package status.
  • Provide CS training and other security briefings and provide status of employee completion.
  • To perform compliance during development instead of after. Wanted this individual to just perform on ensuring the code is compliant with STIGs and IAVs so the Development doesn't have to worry about performing, then he is fine with that as well. As they ultimately want our Dev Team to focus on developing better enhancements.
  • Further, the customer is in-sync with my thoughts of using tools like Fortify to perform compliance checks on the code. So, someone who has experience using tools like Splunk and Fortify to perform code scanning.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills: IA, cyber, STIG compliance, IAV compliance, Splunk, Fortify. Need to be independent and a self-starter.
