Job Responsibilities

Working under supervision learns to apply standard engineering principles to perform duties

Duties include:

• Learning to apply standard Engineering tasks. Begins working knowledge of applicable codes.
• Performs routine designs and calculations in accordance with established standards.
• Assists in preparing engineering reports, studies, calculations, etc. as required.
• Participates in conferences with client to learn how to establish project objectives and resolve technical problems.
• Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Selected candidate will gain experience working on DOE or DOD government projects working with low and medium voltage power distribution systems.

Other job related experience obtained includes:

• Work on medium and low voltage electrical projects
• Develop knowledge base for development of electrical drawing packages for construction.
• Develop working knowledge of electrical computer software such as: SKM or ETAP electrical analysis software.
• Obtain knowledge of 10 CFR 851, DOE Orders, DOE ISMS and OSHA regulations

Job Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

CAD experience with AutoCad or Microstation is a plus

Previous engineering internship experience is a plus

Federal Government Clearance:

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
