Job Description Summary The Southern CA office, located in Downtown Los Angeles, has leveraged more than $4.3 billion to create and preserve more than 43,000 affordable homes and works with partners including developers, investors, government, and community-based nonprofits to advance systems change. Our major initiatives promote equitable and inclusive communities; strengthen the regional homeless delivery system and capacity of frontline organizations; support BIPOC landlords and developers; create capital solutions and provide technical assistance to increase the supply of affordable housing; and advance our public policy agenda.The Program Director, State & Local Policy (Policy Director) will lead the development and implementation of Enterprise's Southern California (SoCal) policy agenda to advance Enterprise's policy priorities around the production and preservation of affordable housing, tenant protections from displacement, advancing racial equity, coalition-building, and the fair and equitable placement of affordable housing choices. The Policy Director develops and executes a state and local policy agenda, in coordination with Enterprise's Northern California office and state partners. The Policy Director will coordinate local participation in national policy activities on issues such as the housing tax credit and other programs and legislation that affects the stability of low-income families and individuals. The position also coordinates with Enterprise's federal policy team to align federal policy making with state, regional and local policy, and leads all strategic communications for the Southern California office with support from national communications staff. The Policy Director reports to the Vice President and Market Leader for Southern California and is supported by national and other local policy staff in Enterprise's other offices. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative, and effective team player eager to support both the Enterprise team and external partners. The position requires organizing, public speaking, writing, diplomacy and the ability to perform a wide array of tasks in a fast-paced environment with light supervision. While this staff member will be in Los Angeles, s/he will periodically travel to Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, and other regions of the state as needed for 1-2 days. The position will be based in Enterprise's Los Angeles office, working with key members of the Enterprise Northern California State and Local Policy teams, as well as external partners, elected officials, and coalitions. Job Description Responsibilities: To be successful, the Program Director, State & Local Policy must be a proactive leader with demonstrated experience in driving results through a matrix organization.

The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position.
