Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager to spearhead the immediate leadership of Power TakeOff’s Energy Efficiency programs with an emphasis on team management, team development, and utility client management. In this role, you will oversee the management of the client relationships and delivery team results of our current Virtual Commissioning™ (VCx™) and Virtual Strategic Energy Management (vSEM™) portfolio (and additional services as they are launched) ensuring seamless execution and exceptional results. Your ability to lead without extensive training is paramount, as you guide our team, nurture client relationships, and drive operational excellence.
The Senior Manager will oversee all facets, of EE program implementation, including result delivery and tracking, personnel growth, utility partnerships, and collaboration with the Program Operations team to optimize processes. Your proficiency in team management and development will be central to your success, as you take charge of the VCx program portfolio's performance. Your aptitude for immediate impact will extend to identifying staffing needs, refining organizational strategies, and facilitating effective communication and training.
Responsibilities
Team Management and Delivery
- Team Building: Organize team-building activities and initiatives that promote cross-functional collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing. Foster an environment where continuous learning is embedded in the team culture.
- Team Leading: Lead and cultivate a team of utility program managers, team leads, and energy advisors, entrusted with program delivery, expansion, and risk mitigation.
- Play a consultative role with the internal program operations team in enhancing tools, templates, and procedures to bolster consistent, high-quality work, and a commitment to continuous improvement and data-driven decisions.
- Work with the Program Management team to strategically forecast staffing requirements and energy savings targets, ensuring client centered execution.
- Champion effective teams that mirror the overarching company culture, values, and strategy, all while encouraging alignment.
- Implement strategies, including the sharing of lessons learned, across the organization to support the continued learning and development of our team, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and collaboration.
Utility & Partner Account Management
- Your direct management of Program Managers, responsible for key utility and prime partner relationships, will be pivotal. It is expected that you will dedicate time to learning about the utility and partner goals and internalizing those findings in order to understand the big picture to see decisions from their perspective and ensure that we are serving the outcomes they are seeking.
- Uphold client satisfaction, contract deliverables, program objectives, performance metrics, and staff productivity for an array of program offerings. Infuse your team with the ability to foster robust, management-level client relationships while maintaining oversight.
- Exercise your knack for identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships, while shaping scopes for prospective clients. Channel your focus towards client growth, satisfaction, and the enhancement of ongoing collaborations.
- Contribute substantively to scope renewals, negotiations, and the formulation of new program contracts and deliverables.
Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of successful team management experience, showcasing your immediate impact capabilities.
- Required: Over 5 years of recent utility industry experience, enhancing your proficiency in utility client management.
- Proven track record in steering commercial energy efficiency program implementations, underscoring your dynamic leadership.
- Experience in nurturing, expanding, and motivating teams within a fast-paced environment.
- Established network and notable involvement within the industry.
- Exceptional communication skills encompassing writing, speaking, and facilitation of meetings.
- Demonstrated analytical acumen and adeptness in problem-solving.
- Solutions-oriented mindset with the capacity to oversee multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, accuracy, and budget requirements.
