PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. As the Rotating Equipment Technical Advisor, you will focus on the planning and execution of projects in the rotating equipment execution department, including NRM, T/A, and miscellaneous tasks.

 

To be successful, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in rotating equipment within an oil refinery or similar industry.
  • Profound knowledge of rotating equipment and industry codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in utilizing document management systems, particularly IMS.
  • Strong commitment to safety quality and a track record of upholding high standards in the workplace.

 

Your responsibilities as the Rotating Equipment Technical Advisor will include:        

  • Review submitted work scopes and work with engineering to optimize scope as required.
  • Document maintenance execution activities, QC, and repairs in the history capture document management system IMS.
  • Support the rotating equipment team in providing input to Engineering to develop scope when more complex repairs are needed and provide quality control.
  • Support Engineering by developing standard repairs from best practices and repair standards.
  • Communicate quality plan exceptions and repair plans to engineering so it can be documented and forecasted for future work scopes.
  • Engages in engineering when a system issue requires a design assessment, sensitivity analysis, or change.
  • Participate in the appropriate execution project reviews that impact the plant's reliability and rotating equipment integrity.
  • Provide technical support to non-routine and TAR rotating equipment teams. Have some crossover responsibilities on the stationary equipment reliability.
  • Demonstrate strong safety and quality leadership in daily work.
  • Support Engineering on PSSRs for major maintenance or T/A readiness reviews.
