The position of Program Coordinator for Dialogue Initiatives is a 12-month, full-time Administrative and Professional Staff (A&PS) position. This position reports to the Senior Assistant Dean and Director of the Multicultural Resource Commons. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Director of the MRC to help train student facilitators to create brave spaces utilizing intergroup dialogue tools. Using a peer to peer sustained dialogue model, the coordinator will create opportunities and set conditions for relational growth and development, where students are challenged to foster healthy discourse amongst their peers. The Coordinator will work with students, faculty, and staff to continue the sustained dialogue efforts in the Multicultural Resource Commons (MRC) using methods consistent with the Oberlin College Strategic Plan’s broader commitment to cultivate interactional diversity and increase students’ sense of belonging.

Required qualifications: B.A. degree; experience demonstrating strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience working with students in a higher education context, preferably a liberal arts setting.
Evening and Weekend hours will be regularly required.
Salary is $45,000 and includes an excellent benefits package, including 35 Paid Time Off (PTO) days per year.
