Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
Chapman University has been awarded grant funds to provide the Riverside Probation Department a 3-pronged approach to the Pathways to Success program for juveniles/youth. This position is responsible for statistical analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to assist the Co-Director with assessing the metrics required to measure the outcomes of the program. This person will utilize NVivo software for data handling and analysis. When necessary, quantitative outcome measures of survey instruments will be applied. This may come in the form of cross-sectional analysis wherein the juvenile/youth responses are examined to understand their particular subject dispositions at a specific point in time. Additionally, longitudinal analysis would allow for the juvenile/youth responses, and any changes in dispositions, to be traced over a more considerable amount of time. Trend analysis would be used as a primary evaluation tool in the longitudinal interpretations of the data. This position will also utilize STATA software for data handling and analysis.
Responsibilities

  • Data entry, data preparation, data analysis,
    grant reporting, program performance assessment, data instrument enhancement and development
  • Assisting the Mediation Clinic Co-Director(s)
    and administrative staff with various projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a similar and/or related field.
  • Possess working knowledge in statistical software such as SPSS, Stata and NVivo.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience in producing, analyzing, and compiling quantitative and qualitative outputs/reports of data.
  • Proficiency in composing credible and reliable survey instruments for measuring quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills to convey data insights to various stakeholders.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the Mediation Clinic Co-Director(s) to create focused data entry, interpretation, and reporting that accurately and adequately reports patterns and themes of rehabilitating Youth in the Pathways to Success program.

Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the Pathways to Success program for Youth criminal offenders. Familiarity with the principles of Restorative Justice, Mediation, and Conflict Resolution. Experience as a mediator or Youth mentor.
