Overview: The Department of Construction Management in the Lyles College of Engineering, California State University, Fresno, offers an accredited Bachelor of Science in Construction Management program through the American Council of Construction Education. The department also offers a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, a Master of Science in Construction Management, and a Minor in Construction Management. The Department of Construction Management is one of the fastest-growing departments on campus and is well known for curricular innovation, service learning, and industry engagement which provides opportunities to its diverse study body. The BSCM program provides practical experience through embedded service learning and a mandatory, credit-based internship program that successfully prepares all students for jobs at graduation. The department has a rich history of collaborating with construction companies throughout the nation. In recent years, the department successfully secured national, regional, and local grants to conduct applied research. The department seeks candidates who will help achieve its mission to develop character, build leaders, sustain learning, and continue the growth of the department in teaching, research, and service.
