We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team!


Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The Respiratory Therapist performs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, and communicates patient status to the appropriate person. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Performs all respiratory therapy duties that are required by Portneuf Medical Center facilities with minimal supervision, including a variety of ventilator management including both invasive and non-invasive ventilation, bag mask and bag ET tube ventilation.
  • Other duties include inhaled medication delivery, EKG's, percussion and vibration, airway clearance techniques, tracheostomy care, suctioning of the airway.
  • The therapist is responsible for maintaining an efficiently run department by cleaning and assembling of equipment, distributing supplies, charting, and charging all treatment and therapeutic modalities of respiratory care.
  • Performs cardiopulmonary stress testing, metabolic testing, bedside and laboratory pulmonary function testing, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Supervises the care provided by licensed and unlicensed personnel.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Idaho.
  • Must have current certification as a CRT or RRT from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current BLS
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications preferred
