About the Role

Ogilvy is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to support a national food brand. This candidate will serve in a hybrid capacity: helping to lead day-to-day public relations efforts across consumer and corporate communications workstreams while also providing support for the client's corporate social channels.

What you'll do?

PR Responsibilities



  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients while building/fostering trust
  • Be the organizational center of projects - manage, problem solve and drive execution even when the path is ambiguous and multiple stakeholders are involved
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior team members to contribute to their growth
  • Develop and present high-level materials such as communications plans, POVs and media materials
  • Support media relations efforts by mining for and pitching compelling stories and securing coverage on behalf of the client
  • Build, maintain and oversee media lists as well as an ongoing coverage tracker
  • Support the execution of events, including executive media days and campaign launches
  • Research and evaluate thought leadership opportunities for key spokespeople
  • Keep a pulse on the CPG and food industries, the media landscape and social media platforms to help provide insights and guidance on programs
  • Respond to in-bound requests from clients, media and team members with accuracy and timeliness


Social Strategy



  • Support team in social strategy development, content planning and content optimizations for client's corporate social channels
  • Partner closely with full team to bring clients new thinking, recommendations and social ideas to build out owned channels - including relevant trends for brand channel
  • Understand basic best practices with paid amplification to ensure content is optimized
  • Identify and pursue quick-turn opportunities for social channels, ensuring tone-of-voice is carried through
  • Lead social content development and recommendations, including engagement and posting cadence on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Conduct light research and social media monitoring
  • Keep a pulse on emerging social platforms and trends
  • Measure and report on results including monthly channel growth


What You'll Need:



  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Ideally, several different account experiences delivering programs in public relations, marketing, or communications with experience in social media, materials development, media relations, and partnership outreach
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing project timelines and budgets
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions in a clear and concise manner
  • Willingness to take on complex challenges and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Natural and effective collaborator, positive attitude, and sound work ethic
  • Calm and focused under pressure
