Salary For Announcement The Hourly Rate for this temporary position is $40 per hour. This position is a Temporary position that is not benefits-eligible. Position Summary The Senior Program Manager, Learning & Development (L&D) is responsible for fostering an innovative learning and coaching culture that develops the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of our MSU Denver community. This role is a critical component for providing growth opportunities for our employees by expanding our professional and leadership development programming. This role is a key advisor for organizational development, learning strategy, and evaluation, and includes policy consultation and maintaining organizational effectiveness. They provide both long and short-term strategic vision with a focus on L&D perspectives. This high-impact role fosters the development of MSU Denver's organizational capabilities, especially contributing as a change agent who nurtures a diverse, collaborative, and inclusive culture. IND208 Position Description: Program Management (50%)
Creates a fully integrated learning organization by developing and delivering programming that aligns with university strategic planning and L&D best practices. Builds upon previous strategy for leadership development at both the new manager and experienced leader levels. Leads the development and implementation of employee development programs, collaborating with colleagues to identify learning and change management needs through various forms of analysis and assessment involving different learning modalities and learning theory. Designs and coordinates real-time development experiences such as job rotation and job-shadowing opportunities to support employee growth and development. Performs needs assessments and reviews organization resources to ensure that learning and development resources exist or are developed to support learning needs based upon projected organizational changes. Evaluates stakeholder readiness, desired project results, potential resistance and performance gaps to facilitate change from 'current state' to 'desired state'. Identifies evolving project deliverables including changes in scope and potential conflicts, develops and implements plans to remove barriers and resolve issues. Continually evaluates learning and development programs for effectiveness and organizational alignment by establishing measurement and feedback mechanisms and recommending and implementing data-driven improvements.
Developing Systems (10%)
Supports members of L&D team to develops a learning registration, check-in and tracking tool utilizing existing technologies. Partner with Human Resources to implement employee development tracking system.
Coaching (25%)
Provides consultation to leadership on programs to support organizational change, leadership development, culture development, site engagement and organizational effectiveness. Provides internal consulting in training and organizational development to departments, facilitates change management methodologies, and works with management to assess training and development needs consistent with the organization's strategy and vision. Develops cross-departmental partnerships to articulate learning needs aligned to University and L&D strategy.
Organizational Development (15%)
Partners with university leadership to leverage employee survey results to develop and implement improved organizational strategies. Collaborates with the L&D team office strategic planning process, monitors attainment of objectives and oversees daily operations. Identifies facilitators and builds facilitator bench capacity, aligned to organizational needs and department offerings Collaborates with members of L&D team to support organizational development and change capabilities, by assesses current organizational culture and makes recommendations for improvement. Continuously assess changes in training needs through staying up-to-date on the most recent employee survey, the professional development survey, industry reports, and engagement trends. Consults with L&D team members to develop and analyzes ongoing surveys and ad-hoc special reports to track impact. Support the design, development, delivery, and management of the L&D evaluation strategy. Utilizes organizational development theory, best practices and approaches (ADDIE model, etc.) to develop and implement effective, comprehensive programs and learning opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in human capital, organizational or leadership development 3+ years of leadership experience in leading teams and projects 3+ years of adult/group learning facilitation and training development 3+ years of experience in developing trainings on a wide range of topics to people with a wide variety of backgrounds. 3+ years of experience collaborating with subject matter experts and external vendors to build and deliver innovative training solutions. Bachelor's Degree in communications, business, human resources, education, organizational development, psychology, sociology or a related field must be complete or conferred before the employment start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in human capital, organizational or leadership development 5+ years of leadership experience in leading teams and projects 5+ years of adult/group learning facilitation and training development 5+ years' experience in developing trainings on a wide range of topics to people with a wide variety of backgrounds. Master's degree in communications, business, human resources, education, organizational development or a related field (conferred before employment start date) Experience with adult learning principles Experience coaching others Experience developing a learning management system (LMS) substitute Experience facilitating DiSC Crucial Conversations facilitator certification Strengthsfinder Certification
