Pharmacy Executive - Pharmacy Aggregation Groups

Summary:

In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to support delivery of value-based care to Vizient Pharmacy Aggregation Groups. You will develop and implement innovative business models in collaboration with Vizient leadership, Staff, distribution, and supplier partners to optimize contract coverage to deliver cost-effective care, enhance patient outcomes, and enhance revenue for Vizient Pharmacy Aggregation Group facilities. You will deliver clinical and operational resources, initiative-based cost savings analysis, and contracting and revenue opportunities to highly committed, engaged health-systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Vizient member aggregation activity; ensures Vizient pharmacy is industry-leading in the value and services provided to our members.

  • Maintain existing and generate new projects that produce strategic and market insights, best practices, and deliver value for stakeholders, leading project teams to accomplish goals.

  • Maintain existing and generate new pharmacy program opportunities by coordinating consultant, leadership, and subject matter experts to meet stakeholder needs through the execution of contracting, advisory, compliance, policy, and analytics services.

  • Update existing and develop new revenue opportunities for pharmacy programs.

  • Partner with internal teams during supplier and distributor negotiations to support request for information and proposals.

  • Develop strategies for improving clinical utilization resulting in cost reduction or revenue enhancement.

  • Drive pharmacy contract value.

  • Deliver monthly presentations to the pharmacy committee members that include metrics, savings initiatives, clinical literature review, and summarized data findings.

  • Ensure members understand how to access Pharmacy Program offerings, such as contract catalog, reporting, clinical web site, communications and peer-to-peer meetings to maximize value.

  • Answer stakeholder questions; respond to escalated questions.

  • Assist analytics team to research and develop new analytics and reports, generating strategic insights on ongoing spend and savings.

  • Facilitate data aggregation across systems to create a comprehensive view of stakeholder activities; connects stakeholders to pharmacy analytics offerings and technology applications.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD required. Master's degree in business desired.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in a multi-system hospital setting with physician engagement required.

  • Experience as a Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator or Manager evaluating savings through clinical opportunities and contracting preferred.

  • Experience with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities desired.

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills and the ability to interact at the highest organizational levels.

  • Experience in working collaboratively to achieve results.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

$135,200.00 - $201,200.00
