Pyrotechnique by Grucci is an explosives manufacturing firm, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of a range of munitions and training simulations. We partner with the United States Department of Defense so we can support our troops with our products.

Located on the Radford Army Ammunition Plant for over twenty years, we welcome you to join our Virginia team!

We are hiring Production Assemblers. We are looking for hardworking and motivated individuals with a strong focus on meeting benchmarks. These positions are vital to the smooth flow of the production line and in helping meet customer shipping schedules.

Base schedule: 4 day work week

1st Shift - Monday-Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm - Positions Available

2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:00am - Positions Available


Starting Pay 1st Shift - $19.00/hour

Shift Differential - Starting Pay 2nd Shift - $19.75/hour

Friday overtime on a voluntary basis and on a mandatory basis when necessary to meet shipping schedules.

Job Duties and Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:



  1. Produce product daily to meet established benchmarks.
  2. Take part in the standard workflow as product progresses through the build process
  3. Assemble, glue and manufacture product as specified in Standard Operating Procedures.
  4. Use hand and specialty tools and equipment for sub assembly and/or pressing, loading and gluing of components, which includes but is not limited to primer press, hot glue gun, potting machine, epoxy applicator, taping machines and auto-weighing system.
  5. Perform inspection of components and follow procedures for reporting non-conformances.
  6. Complete necessary paperwork, which includes but is not limited to, Assembly Inspection Sheets, weekly Timesheets, and Flow Cards as specified by procedure.
  7. Calculate weight of chemicals utilizing proper equipment, if required.
  8. Calculate measures of product using, but not limited to the use of, calipers and go/no-go gauges.
  9. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.


General Requirements, include, but not limited to:



  1. Be able to read, speak, and understand English.
  2. Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Be able to work and communicate well with others.
  4. Must be able to receive clearance from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).
  5. Be able to learn each function of the manufacturing process as relates to their department.


Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift, push, or pull 8 to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis.

2. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
