Your role.

No busy work here. As an intern, you'll be treated just like our entry level staff. You'll work with our team assisting clients in large and small organizations with their international business needs including financial reporting, tax planning, shareholder planning, or mergers and acquisitions. In addition to the global services team, you will have the opportunity to work with other consulting teams at Plante Moran including transaction advisory services and risk advisory & accounting services. We'll give you the flexibility to craft business solutions, not just spreadsheets. You can look forward to:

  • Working with our clients in implementing their global strategy through mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
  • Assisting clients with any phase of global business evolution, providing support in several areas, from analyzing foreign market opportunities to identifying important business issues (both in the accounting and consulting areas).
  • Assisting in development and review of financial models, analysis and delivery of data to support management decision making.
  • Participating in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for financial analysis, due diligence, etc.
  • Participating with Global Services internal team projects, including technology enhancements to intranet and firm website pages.
  • Working with companies that have operations across the globe, practice different cultures, and speak foreign languages.
  • Gaining experience working with a wealth of business opportunities throughout a professional services firm.

The qualifications.

  • Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills.
  • Pursuing a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field.
  • Strong GAAP background with an understanding of debits and credits.
  • This role may include out of town/international travel.
  • CPA designation or pursing CPA designation is preferred, but not required.
  • Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
  • Self-directed in work yet understands when to seek counsel from others to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

This is a non-exempt position and may require work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. This position may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado hourly rate range is as follows:

$34.00 to $34.00
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
