Buckeye Partners is currently seeking an Engineer II, Electrical & Instrumentation with experience in design engineering in the pipeline and terminals business, chemicals industry, or other process industries to join our growing team! Role Summary: The Engineer II, Electrical & Instrumentation role is an intermediate-level Engineer role responsible for supporting electrical & instrumentation engineering standards as well as working to continuously improve the technical content of our bids, estimates, project construction packages, and maintenance programs. Responsibilities & Essential Functions include: Operations Support. Provide response to field operations requests for technical assistance and guidance on application of electrical equipment and instrumentation in compliance with established company standards. Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required. Certificates & Licenses: Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable. Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities: Excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills are paramount. Essential Functions: This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards. Physical & Safety Requirements: This role is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. (NOTE: Only on an as needed basis, site walk downs and other in field activities but for shorter duration events) About You: Excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills are paramount. You must work independently and be able to exercise tact, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers, and when handling sensitive and confidential information.
