JOB SUMMARY:

Develops/designs new and improved processes and upgrades existing processes for the Infant and Toddler Meals and Drinks product category. Possesses a understanding of the product properties, engineering and quality aspects of the process design to demonstrate proficiency of the technology. The position ensures that the process designs exhibit an absolute intolerance for unsafe situations and follows the requirements of: Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Hygienic Engineering etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helps coordinate engineering design process with factory based engineers to ensure that capital projects for establishment of new lines are designed to Nestle and Category specifications.
  • Upgrades existing technologies and identifies and implements new technologies that help achieve business initiatives with an emphasis on Aseptic Packaging/Processing and new technologies. Influence project direction by providing technical input through the planning and decision making process.
  • Assists with internally developed design elements receiving intellectual property protection. Handles confidential information exchange with third parties according to business practices.
  • Provides technical assistance to the factories by means of ensuring the development of technically competent and effective workforce for new technology introductions and troubleshooting technically complex issues.
  • Collaborates with cross functional groups and interacts with external suppliers and/or consultants to progress next generation technologies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Knowledge):

  • University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Food Engineering preferred or equivalent extensive experience in manufacturing and operations.
  • Minimum 3 years process, operations, and manufacturing experience (with university degree). Prefer knowledge of aseptic processing, direct and indirect thermal processes, fluid mechanics, CIP systems, and process system validation.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design Documentation and Standards.
  • Business travel up to 20% based on project needs
