Job Description

The AP Analyst will be responsible for the day to day accounts payable transactions including processing invoices, validating invoice coding and approvals, and matching to purchase orders and reporting.
  • Invoice expense coding, processing, obtaining timely approvals, and matching invoices to purchase orders
  • Analyze, code, prioritize and process invoicing for property tax, HOA, insurance, property expenses and normal general and administrative operating activity expenses
  • Knowledge of capitalization policy for proper coding
  • Annual reconciliation of vendor activity and assist with distribution of 1099s
  • Monthly & annual vendor account reconciling
  • Assist with month end closing, ensuring work orders are closed or matched to a purchase order, all invoices are processed within the month received
  • Experience in an electronic accounts payable processing environment. Provide supporting documentation for audits.
  • Identify and research outstanding invoices
  • Budget variance analysis & control


  • Knowledge of Yardi accounting platform a major plus
  • Proficiency with Excel - Pivot tables, basic to intermediate formulaic abilities, Look-up functions, reporting
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • 2 years of successful experience in accounts payable
  • Prior property management experience a plus
  • Customer service background
  • Demonstrate experience with general ledger account reconciliations including month end closing processes and general knowledge of accounting principles.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership of all work product and completing work within specified deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Solid math and financial acumen
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and a rapidly changing organization.

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$48,670.00 - $81,110.00
