While this position will be based in Athens, GA at the University of Georgia, facilitators will be virtual and thus can work remotely from any city/county in Georgia. Some travel will be required which may involve nights and weekend work. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with

Applicants without a Bachelor's degree but with comparable experience will be considered. A broad range of experience may be considered, including but not limited to: teaching school or church related educational activities, coaching or mentoring, providing counseling services, leading health education workshops, etc. |
Position Summary |
This is a part-time position funded by a grant from the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family Assistance (
OFA) through the University of Georgia (
UGA), College of Family and Consumer Sciences. Continued funding for this position, after the end of the grant period (September 29, 2025), is contingent on obtaining other funding sources. |

The
HMRE Virtual Program Facilitator is part of the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension program of
UGA Cooperative Extension. We seek to hire multiple individuals for this position. The Program Facilitator is responsible for co-leading virtual, online workshops to groups of couples using the
HMRE curriculum,
Elevate: Taking Your Relationship to the Next Level. The Elevate curriculum includes 8 modules delivered across a series of workshop classes totaling 12 hours. Facilitators will be assigned to teach workshops by the
VPC. Facilitators are expected to work approximately 32 hours per workshop series, or about 4 hours per module each week (work assignments will vary depending on when workshops are scheduled): 1.5 hours for leading group sessions and 2.5 hour for preparation to teach the group (reviewing materials, communicating with teaching partners, pre- and post-session meetings). Additional work responsibilities include: time spent at trainings and meetings learning the program curricula in accordance with established protocols; maintaining confidentiality of participants' information collected for research purposes, as defined by the
UGA
IRB policies; evaluating program implementation and working with project staff to resolve problems; insuring that participant attendance and other information is reported accurately; and, completing administrative and quality assurance paperwork. Facilitators may also be asked to provide support recruiting couples to participate in the workshops. Facilitators can expect to work approximately 80 hours per year (64 hours of teaching/programming per year, and approximately 16 hours for annual mandatory trainings and meetings), with the potential for additional hours to support efforts to recruit couples |
