Department Overview The Treasury Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our company's adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to treasury operations. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and a desire to learn about financial regulations. Works on problems of limited to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Contacts are primarily internal to the department, but may also be external. * 30% Banking Administration and Regulatory Research and Industry Relations o Maintains processes, systems, and databases to analyze and monitor bank accounts and banking administration, and monitors ongoing integrity of access control. Supports disaster recovery processes. o Learn and stay updated about relevant financial regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends to support guidance and recommendations for compliance enhancements. Support continued relationships with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and professional networks to stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes. * 25% Compliance Monitoring and Reporting o Support evidence collection as part of PCI Compliance Program, and assist in regular reviews and assessments of treasury operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. o Prepare accurate and timely reports on compliance activities, violations, and remediation efforts for management and regulatory authorities as required including dashboard administration. Support team as it relates to process improvement and automation to streamline compliance monitoring and reporting activities. * 20% Risk Assessment o Assist in documenting and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies as deemed by Treasury management. o Assist in internal internal and external audit processes by supporting necessary documentation, administration, and implementation as required. * 25% Communication and Internal Collaboration o Assist with planning, development, and maintenance of UC Treasury website and other communication tools. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, risk management, and internal audit, to ensure coordinated efforts in managing compliance-related activities and documentation. Experience * Min 2 years Experience in treasury operations, financial compliance, risk management, or a similar role within a corporate or financial institution setting. Skills and Abilities * Working knowledge of cash management and general banking practices and systems. * Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize and perform basic financial analysis assignments. * Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely. * Working skills in using common desktop / web applications (Microsoft Office Suite). Experience with compliance software or data analytics tools or treasury management systems are a plus. * High ethical standards and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and quickly adapt to changes in regulations, policies, and priorities. * Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Preferred Qualifications * Some understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, anti-money laundering regulations). Familiarity with treasury operations, banking products, and financial instruments. Education * Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Licenses and Certifications * CTP, Certified Treasury Professional SPECIAL CONDITIONS This position has been approved for a hybrid or remote within California work arrangement. The person hired will be required to reside in the state of California and may be asked to report to work on-site at UC's Office of the President (UCOP) located in Oakland, CA at least two days per week, subject to change.
