Summary

The Business Team Leader (BTL) leads all cross functional activities associated with business development and business unit growth objectives. This position is physically located onsite in Naples, FL and would work specifically on the Fuel Specialty products. Responsible for working with Business Unit Leadership Team regarding strategic planning. This role will work with all functions and Site Lean Leader regarding strategic and tactical deployment. Additionally, the position will coordinate multi-disciplinary, customer-focused business team to accomplish program objectives through coordinated division efforts. The BTL serves as a liaison for customer-to-company interface on program performance with respect to organic growth. Works with functional leaders to develop and implement tactical and operational plans to achieve business unit objectives.

Responsibilities

l. Complexity

Responsible for division business team performance. Interprets the technical and product needs of customers and develops strategies to meet those needs. Investigates new applications or improvements to products or new market segments and develops strategies to expand business. Coordinates activities across multiple functions (e.g. engineering, program management, assembly and test, quality, planning, etc.) to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled. Works closely with internal support teams (e.g. parts supply) to meet overall team and division objectives.

II. Impact

Highly visible position with primary responsibility for revenue and earnings that involve substantial division resources. Responsible for cost and schedule reporting, work package construction, budget allocation and control for the entire business segment. Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities for the division and develops short- and long-range forecasts and strategic plans. Responsible for applicable proposal development and new and/or mature business negotiations.

Requirements

Ten or more years of major professional accomplishments and seven or more years leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity. Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.

Knowledge of business development and program management functions that would typically be obtained through a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline and progressive career experience. An M.B.A. may be preferred.

Demonstrated customer responsiveness, proficiency in product and manufacturing technology and systems integration, and experience in multiple organizational roles in the industry.

Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serves as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.

Highly effective in facilitating group dynamics across various audiences and work groups. Persuasive presentation and interpersonal skills.

Extensive understanding of business systems, financial plans and controls, contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
