Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant III is responsible for performing the job duties assigned to both the Medical Assistant I and the Medical Assistant II. The Medical Assistant III must be willing and able to function independently in Tulsa clinics and regional clinics and willing and able to provide coverage across all departments of OHI as needed by the organization. They will serve in the preceptor role and actively participate in the development and implementation of training tools for new MA I employees or students.

A qualified candidate should have completed a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant program and has been an employee with OHI as a Medical Assistant II for a minimum of 3 years. The MA III is required to complete 24 CE contact hours annually with summaries to be turned in at annual evaluation (see MA CE Guide). In addition, the MA III will complete one specialized project per year for the enrichment and education of the MA staff.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school or GED
  • 3 - 5 year previous experience
