Job Description

Directs the total sales effort toward achievement of the Territory and District goals and objectives.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

-Sells the organization's products by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.
-Displays or demonstrates product, using samples and catalog to emphasize features and benefits on every call as well as stays informed on new products, pricing, and other general information.
-Insures that presentations and selling ideas are made to all persons who have an influence on the purchase of products.
-Quotes selling price and credit terms for orders obtained and is responsible for collection of all accounts.
-Insures proper service and follow-up on all customer accounts.
-Checks on competitive sales and pricing activity as well as develop specific sales and pricing objectives for each account.
-Acts as a consultant, to provide advice and guidance to customers in relation to their requirements.
-Responsible for establishing and execution of the standards and goals needed to achieve/maintain territory objectives.
-Insures that all customers have an assigned frequency of sales contact and assigned frequencies are maintained in the weekly call plan.
-Communicates account activity to maintain a high level of follow through re: credit, collections, and adjustments.
-Prepares a sales estimates and forecasts, when required, on a timely basis and of minimal variance.
-Develops and maintains an active prospect list. New account prospect calls must be incorporated into all weekly call plans.

External Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Broad knowledge of the organization's products, services and marketing techniques, One to two years experience in a sales environment, preferably in the foodservice industry. Travel throughout assigned geographic or account base territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
