Job Description

We are currently hiring a BI Developer II in Boston, MA (Hybrid).

The BI Developer role is at the forefront of driving business insights at BBC. This role leverages expertise in Business Intelligence development and will use a consultative approach to engage with internal stakeholders within the framework of the BI Center of Excellence program. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for BBC on the Microsoft Power BI platform. This role will also be responsible for supporting these activities in collaboration with coworkers from cross functional BBC teams as part of the BI Center of Excellence program.

What You'll Brew:



  • Collaborate closely with internal customers to understand and define reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and analytical tools on the Microsoft Power BI platform, contributing to data-driven decision-making at BBC. Implement business intelligence solutions to drive revenue, reduce costs and/or enhance customer satisfaction, in support of organization's stated goals and objectives
  • Lead the development and testing phases of solutions, overseeing the lifecycle from conceptualization to rollout.
  • Conduct training sessions to empower users, facilitating effective utilization of reporting tools and ensuring a seamless rollout experience.
  • Data preparation and modeling activities on the Power BI platform, ensuring data integrity and optimizing for analytical purposes.
  • Work closely with the rest of the BI team to help define BI and data architecture
  • Act as backup to other BI team staff
  • Adhere to IT department policies and procedures when performing tasks to ensure controls are in place and departmental goals are met


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field
  • 2+ years professional experience within Data & Analytics space
  • 2+ years of Power BI experience
  • 1 + years of Experience with SQL
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience in a customer-facing role (internal customers, users of our software) working with end users on requirements, coaching, training


Preferred Requirements



  • Experience support enterprise solutions for Corporate & Sales functional areas
  • Experience with Advanced Data Analytics, Python, R, Machine Learning/Data Mining


Level: 7

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $71,400 - $130,000 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
