Job Summary
Perform job duties of Administrative Support Associate until full-time position is filled. The individual selected for the position will serve as the initial point of contact for all who enter the main department office.

Temporary Employment Services ( TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

AU student employees are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions

  • Serve as a point of contact for department head, faculty, staff, and graduate students.
  • Answer main department phone line.
  • Sort/distribute mail.
  • Provide general administrative/clerical support.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft office and Outlook and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years experience.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older before May 1st.


Desired Qualifications

  • Professional
  • Organized person to perform administrative job duties in academic department.
  • Knowledge of Banner and Kronos is desired.
