What you will do:

  • Make service calls to our customers and keep both customers and dispatchers informed of progress on jobs.
  • Process paperwork and maintain housekeeping in service truck and at customer property.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical repairs of power generation systems.
  • Effectively diagnose, repair, adjust and recondition diesel, natural gas and liquid propane engine driven generator sets.
  • Performing scheduled service and troubleshooting tasks on customer generators.
  • Taking necessary action to prevent or limit failure to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain truck inventory.
  • Ensuring scheduled service activities are performed correctly and on time
  • Identifying potential problems ahead of time and be proactive implementing solutions.

What you will bring:

  • Strong customer service skills and inter-personal communication skills
  • 5 + years' experience as maintenance and/or service mechanic
  • Experience in performing maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of power generation equipment and/or diesel engine experience.
  • Intermediate computer literacy
  • A valid driver license

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • The ability to sit, stand, and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
  • The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.

Salary Range: Based on experience, $25-$40/ hour

Location: Hauppauge, NY

Work Hours: Mon - Fri, Floating On Call hours.
