Selects appropriate radiation exposure factors according to body area, body habitus, and patient condition. Uses factors to obtain diagnostic quality images consistently while minimizing radiation exposure to patient. Performs both CT and X-ray exams.2. Exhibits the ability to analyze his/her examination for completeness and to gather additional patient information or images beyond those called for by standard protocols when necessary and demonstrates the ability to use problem solving skills to reach independent decisions, tailoring exams to the patient's condition and level of cooperation as necessary.3. Documents exam for each case. Thorough exam documentation is produced on a consistent basis and includes pertinent patient history including signs, symptoms, onset and duration.4. Retains new and complex information. Displays comprehension by employing new principles on all aspects of imaging, including record keeping, patient imaging and patient care.5. Demonstrates competency in the operation of Imaging equipment by following safe operating procedures as recommended by original equipment manufacturer, and performs proper care and cleaning of equipment. Observes and reports equipment malfunctions to immediate supervisor and logs them in the appropriate repair book for service engineers. Not Required.Graduate from imaging technology program approved by licensing bodies.Requires BLS from the AHA within 90 days of hire.Must be licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.Must be licensed in CT by the OBMI OR registered in CT by the ARRT.
