Salary for Announcement We anticipate the qualified candidate to be placed between $46,600 - $56,200. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting Position Summary The Tuition Classification Officer manages the tuition classification process for all students, which includes, but is not limited to, reviewing circumstances relating to tuition classification, evaluating supporting evidence of Colorado domicile, executing residency decisions, and sending follow-up communication to students while strictly adhering to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as process and chair the tuition classification appeals. The Tuition Classification Officer (TCO) will advise students and staff on different aspects of the tuition law. This position also ensures that the University is in compliance with policies and guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the tuition law. The TCO will possess a high-level knowledge of state and federal law and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This position requires the ability to independently research, interpret, and adhere to complex regulations is required. The TCO will assist in planning, streamlining, and advancing processes and procedures relating to tuition classification. The TCO is responsible for training new admissions and call center staff on tuition classification requirements. The TCO updates tuition classification for students upon receipt of proper documents. The TCO will provide support to students, parents, staff, and faculty via direct contact, telephone, email, and web-based chat regarding tuition classification policies and procedures while providing high-level customer service. The University is particularly interested in applicants with experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.
