Job Description


Located near beautiful Charleston, SC, Parker's Gas Turbine Power Generation business manufactures fuel nozzles for power generation and military aerospace applications. Our team is capable of "quick turn" new product introduction and design for manufacture. SUMMARY:

Leader of a multi-disciplinary business and project management team responsible for all contracts and project management functions in the PowerGen Division. As a team leader, directly responsible for all elements of customer interface, including management and communication of routine orders and new product development program performance. A member of the site leadership team, additionally responsible for co-ordination with all other functional elements - including particularly close co-operation with planning and operations to ensure alignment with customer demand, and conveyance of these needs across the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Directly responsible for demand planning and the development of, and execution against, sales (monthly, quarterly, annually) and on time delivery goals through effective planning and risk/opportunity management.
  • Strategic leadership in support of long-term business goals focused upon profitable growth, including strategic customer relationship development and close collaboration with functional leadership across the business in consideration of strategy deployment.
  • Key point of contact for customer escalation and issue resolution.
  • Functionally responsible for all pricing activity, aligning with business strategy, and development/execution of program proposals across legacy and new products.
  • Directly responsible for leading high level customer negotiations in support of long-term agreements and contractual relationships.
  • Will work closely with business development with regards to program planning (development, rate readiness, etc.) for new customers and/or new products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • PMP certification required, or ability to attain within 6 months of starting the role. An advanced degree or a professional designation preferred.
  • Eight or more years of progressive experience in areas of program management, business development, and/or manufacturing operations. Must have at least two years of direct leadership experience.
  • Thorough understanding of business financial plans/controls, strategic planning, contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.
  • Capable of assessing and developing individual team skills and capabilities.
  • Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals.
  • Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills..
