Georgia Compensation Range: $48,000 - $60,000.

New York Compensation Range: $55,000 - $69,000.

Applicants for this role will be considered in the following markets: Marietta, GA and East Syracuse, NY.

As an Associate Analyst, Claims at RXO, you'll manage incidents and claims on behalf of all business entities, working customers, operations, carriers, and insurance companies. You'll assess and identify potential risks that may impact the reputation, safety, security, and financial performance of RXO.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Investigate and analyze incidents and claims for loss, damage, and delay to determine company liability while protecting company and customer interests
  • Understand and interpret contractual terms & conditions
  • Act in the capacity of advisor to operations management, carriers, and customers regarding disposition of incidents and claims
  • Compose professional claims correspondence and, as necessary, liaison with legal prepare to legal notices
  • Manage incident and claims inventory to meet individual, team, and company goals; process claims according to company policies and procedures
  • Investigate review and document significant events and escalate to appropriate leadership, insurance companies and compliance; ensure potential financial impact to RXO is identified and documented
  • Hold loss prevention meetings to provide operations guidance on future risk avoidance measures, and provide damage prevention recommendations to operations and customers
  • Prepare reports and provide trend analysis, and handle special projects as assigned

What you'll need to excel:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate with executive management regarding the decision-making process of incidents and claims
  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills

It'd be great if you also have:

  • 1 or more years of experience as a cargo claims examiner, analyst, or in a similar capacity working with liability and risk
  • Knowledge of Common Law Liability, Code of Federal Regulations, Rules and Tariffs, Transportation Contracts and Agreements, and the National Motor Freight Classification system
  • Knowledge of risk reduction and claims process
  • Knowledge of multimodal modes of transportation
  • Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines utilizing good planning and organizational skills
