Job Description

Grace is hiring a Reliability Project Manager, Outage Leader to report to the Maintenance Excellence Process Leader and a member of our Manufacturing Excellence Center of Excellence. As a Reliability Project Manager and Outage Leader, you will lead reliability improvement efforts at Grace's selected manufacturing sites and assess the needs, then develop and sells value propositions for the project. You will also develop, plan, and execute leading-edge reliability implementation and improvement projects to achieve business excellence. As well as Reliability support you will drive efficiency and performance improvements in our Outage execution. You will lead the creation and implementation of the new procedures/playbook and work processes around outage planning, scheduling and execution across Grace.

The ideal candidate will be based at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD with relocation assistance offered. Optional work locations include working from one of our gulf coast sites (Lake Charles or Baton Rouge, LA, Pasadena, TX) or our future office in Houston, TX, relocation not available. A hybrid work schedule is offered; Mon/Wed/Thurs in office and Tues/Fri at home.

Responsibilities
  • Use ME processes and tools to develop and drive continuous improvements in outage planning, scheduling and execution.
  • Supports and participate in the development of short and long-term strategic planning to strengthen and drive improvements in ME metrics around turnaround/outage performance.
  • Advises and consults in support of implementation/improvement projects in maintenance, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Understand maintenance process and reliability principles to be able to support sites in the implementation of the standards.
  • Drive and support the use and continued development of the Production Loss Accounting systems used at the Grace sites.
  • Support and drive LCAM (Life Cycle Asset Management) for critical assets.
  • Presents professional development training courses on select reliability topics.
  • Prioritizes action items identified in program assessments or continuous improvement efforts based on risk assessment, criticality analysis, and resource availability.
  • Ensures timely completion of improvement initiatives and tasks based on a well-defined project scope.
  • Interfaces with site and ISC leadership teams to understand needs, develop a plan, and execute the project.
  • Mentors, coaches, and provides guidance to site personnel involved in Reliability projects.
  • Guides the site team to review equipment criticality and conduct FMEAs and Asset Care Plans for critical equipment.
  • Monitors KPIs and performance of the project. Accountable for delivering benefits for the Reliability Projects and ensuring milestone goals are achieved.
  • Prepares and presents weekly status reports and steering team meetings.
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience in Maintenance and Reliability.
  • 12+ years of experience in maintenance or production in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years-experience leading Reliability improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical and innovative thinking.
  • Able to develop processes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • 5+ years of experience using SAP systems.
