Position Reports To: AVP Enrollment Management

FLSA STATUS: Salaried, Exempt

Salary: $90,000

Days & Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods. This is a remote position.

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:

The primary responsibility of the Associate Director of Enrollment Training & Admissions is to provide leadership, strategic enrollment training, and oversight of student recruitment efforts, admissions strategies, and new student success while responsible for directing staff efforts and managing on-going daily operations to meet enrollment initiatives. This position will also be responsible for upholding and maintaining a systematic set of business processes and department enrollment goals/metrics that enable the University to shape its enrollments focusing on student college choice, the transition to college, new student retention, and student outcomes.

The Associate Director of Enrollment Training & Admissions will work closely with internal and external partner marketing and operations departments to assist in outreach during market segment campaigns, increase effectiveness of various marketing channels, analyze, and evaluate the quality of student leads, maintain and implement new technologies into the enrollment process, and initiate change requests as needed in order to optimize enrollment processes and execute key deliverables. The AD also leverages data reporting tools to analyze and project new and continuing student enrollments, track relevant trends, and communicate findings with key partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Specifically, the Associate Director of Enrollment Training & Admissions will:



  • Analyze and evaluate strategic and targeted recruitment needs. Plan, implement, and report on enrollment programs addressing such needs.
  • Build, lead, and train a team of enrollment and admissions advisors to help drive revenue by setting and monitoring KPIs, setting targets to hit or exceed enrollment forecasts, and reduce new student melt.
  • Assist in development of communication strategies for a variety of market segments that address prospective students, program and enrollment inquiries, application processes, and pre-enrollment phases.
  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting enrollment goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts
  • Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading team members, and ensure that they're using effective counseling tactics to enroll students.
  • Recruit enrollment and admissions representatives, set objectives, train, and coach them, and monitor their performance.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them
  • Manage the strategy and execution of day-to-day operations of the enrollment, new student success, and admissions offices.
  • Direct the analysis and reporting functions of all recruitment efforts, statistics, measures, and outcomes.
  • Ensure recruitment objectives, goals, budgets, policies, practices, and actions produce successful student recruitment results, consistent with GGU's overall mission, and strategic and master plans.
  • Develop, implement, and train on recruitment, admissions, and new student retention plans.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to enrollment barriers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new operational processes within the university in collaboration with educational partners.
  • Collaborate with academic and student services departments to contribute to the retention of students.
  • Work with enrollment, admissions, and other department managers to train, motivate and evaluate staff; establish and monitor employee performance objectives; prepare and present employee performance reviews; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures within university policy.
  • Carry out new initiatives and manage integration of new processes and technology.
  • Ensure regulatory oversight by enrollment team of all aspects of the enrollment process for students including admission, financial aid, registration, and student financial processes.
  • Train and develop a team across multiple disciplines (e.g., student recruitment, retention, and multi-channel advising; corporate & university partnerships; marketing; digital user experience; and CRM functionality and related technology)
  • Lead collaboration that results in the development and execution of a metrics-driven, comprehensive enrollment and marketing plan; including the achievement of measured growth in the number and quality of enrolled students retained over time.
  • Keep abreast of federal, state, and institutional regulations, statutes and policies and procedures to ensure audit compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior management of multi-org required.
  • At least 5 years minimum experience in an enrollment management leadership position and/or higher ed training is required as well as an understanding of the administering and managing KPIs and applications of technology to these fields.



Skills & Knowledge Requirements:



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Strong understanding of the delivery of information, programs, and services to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, at a distance and on campus.
  • Knowledge of database management, reporting systems, assessment tools, predictive modeling, and other processes and procedures associated with enrollment management.
  • Skill in the use of computerized systems and databases, customer relationship management systems
  • Ability to develop and interpret enrollment management statistics and manage team performance metrics.
  • Ability to make sound judgments regarding complex issues and ability to anticipate problems and provide multiple solutions.
