Inside the Role Daimler Truck North America is the market leader and thrives as the voice of the trucking industry. In the Detroit Powertrain Test Center, we are driving the powertrain R&D validation for our global Daimler Truck brand including alternative and conventional powertrains. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and executing DVP&R battery prototyping. This position involves applying technical expertise to laser welding, cleaning, and plasma equipment and processes uniquely to high voltage battery prototyping. You will be applying your previous knowledge to design, setup, commission, and validate the necessary equipment. Monitoring data quality and troubleshooting technical issues as required to maintain validation objectives. Additionally, this role requires assisting the local but global capable metrology room measuring and validating components design and quality using advanced powertrain engineering methodologies. We are looking for a person who is solution orientated and has excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In addition, having the ability to accomplish tasks with the highest standards of quality and ethics. This person also must be capable of developing strong working relationships with union and salaried local and global employees.We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of
$90,000- $115,000
