The Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Consultant is the lead project resource on most client engagements within the Workday Adaptive Planning practice. Senior consultants are the lead resource on medium to large projects of average complexity to implement Adaptive for clients and transform their budgeting and forecasting processes. Workday Adaptive Planning Senior Consultants are experts in all areas of budgeting and forecasting and can work independently with clients leading medium to large projects to deploy Adaptive Planning for clients. They will lead design sessions and system architecture discussions and make final decisions on the implementation approach. In designing Adaptive Planning systems, the Adaptive Planning Senior Consultant will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing existing financial models, re-engineering and configuring the models into Workday Adaptive Planning and providing guidance to clients regarding finance best practices to be incorporated in their models to get the most out of the system. A Senior Consultants also executes on this design, building most complex items themselves and oversees and delegates smaller, less complex tasks to other team members. They are responsible to oversee project success and all build activities of both Workday Adaptive Planning and Integrations to other systems using Workday Adaptive Planning's integration capabilities. The Senior Consultant will tend to run larger projects or engagements independently including all but the most complex design and modeling tasks. They are also responsible for budget oversight of the project and delivering on budget all in scope activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently consults with external clients and participates in all stages of the Workday Adaptive Planning project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through testing and deployment for Workday Adaptive Planning by developing solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple clients
  • Effectively leads Medium to large client deliverables from start to finish across multiple, concurrent projects utilizing Alight's quality standards and consulting methodology
  • Review and analyze spreadsheet-based financial models and re-engineer into Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Provide guidance to clients regarding finance best practices to be incorporated in their model
  • Contribute to project management and ensure client satisfaction
  • Run meetings independently with clients overseeing activities of other Adaptive consultants and their deliverables
  • Deliver end to end projects with limited support on complex items from Managers/Project Managers
  • Responsible for weekly client meetings and project budget management
  • Integrates with other areas across Alight and functions to provide a complete solution
  • Consults on impact of decisions to operating post-implementation and downstream systems
  • Manages self and team member(s) work to project scope, timeline, risk and budget
  • Listens to client request, assesses actual client need, provides subjective matter expertise, proposes alternatives, and recommends solution(s). Depending on scope of project, may coach team members to execute same
  • Frequently discusses, and can articulate to clients, lessons learned from previous client experience, Workday best practices as well as Alight's Point of View
  • Proactively identifies trouble spots for client and recommends solutions
  • Contributes to the development of internal resources via mentoring, coaching, and directing work
  • Participates in and may lead internal business initiatives to assist the organization in building our Alight brand and collateral, including but not limited to internal domain groups, chats and training
  • Participates in building the Alight Brand by participating in Workday ecosystem product groups/chats and contributes advanced thinking and sharing of ideas within the ecosystem
  • Creates work estimates and solutions for small or specific bodies of work.

  • Becomes an expert in the Workday Adaptive Planning suite with a broad-based knowledge of all Workday products and financials, while also being able to architect solutions within specific area(s)
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert in functional/technical areas of Adaptive Planning such as revenue modeling, reporting, consolidations, or other areas specific to planning
  • Demonstrate strong presentation, communication, listening and consultative skills to guide and drive discussions
  • Participates in client sales meetings, assisting with collateral creation where needed
  • Creates work estimates and solutions for small or specific bodies of work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • Maintain proficiency and certification in the Workday Adaptive Planning solution suite
  • 3 to 7 plus years of experience working with Adaptive Insights and/or financial planning / workforce planning
  • Strong financial and/or management accounting background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled with MS Excel
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Up to 15% travel

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience

90,200 USD

Maximum :

143,100 USD
