Bancroft is currently seeking a Residential & Community Nurse Supervisor to join our Adults Brain Injury service line based in Mount Laurel, NJ.



Responsibilities

    Directs and provides oversight to the Nurse Case Manager and the Licensed Practical Nurses in the residential services team.
  • Manages the ongoing job performance of direct reports, develops & communicates performance goals, completes performance evaluations within established timeframes, & provides feedback in collaboration with the Director of Nursing
  • Maintains adequate staffing for the medical oversight for the New Jersey community residential service teams in the Children's Community residential program.
  • Reviews admissions and attends admission meetings as directed by the Senior Director of Nursing.
  • Provides ongoing leadership, advice, training, and guidance to direct reports regarding the overall nursing care, instruction, and safety of persons served in the Community Residential Service lines, for outpatient and residential services and as outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP) for each person served
  • Encourages and supports a team approach to the continued provision of quality care to persons served in community residential services & adult through daily interactions (where applicable), communication, and collaboration between the nurses, health team and staff members involved the residential programs, including direct care staff, program managers, and directors. Provides consultation as needed to both residential and education programs with regard to the provision of healthcare needs of persons served, & as directed by Senior Director of Nursing.
  • Performs related duties, special assignments and projects as required & as directed by Director of Nursing.
  • Maintains educational and other requirements to renew licensure.
  • Will have a caseload and perform on-site visits of program sites to promote the health, safety, security, and overall quality of care for persons served. Identifies existing and potential issues of concern and takes appropriate action to address, resolve, and avoid reoccurrence of issues;
  • Mentors training compliance of those nurse supervised.
  • Performs annual Performance evaluations for the nurses supervised.
  • Accepting of on-call hours and must be must be flexible with schedule. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and covering work assignments at Bancroft locations.
  • May be required to work up to one weekend a month.


Qualifications

Registered Nurse required with a current and valid N.J. license. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required and a BSN is preferred. Prior nursing/case management experience is preferred. Experience with adults with developmental disabilities population will be considered
