POSITION SUMMARY

The Audio-Visual Collaboration Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the resources, technology, and vendors associated with our audio-visual collaboration environment within the firm. This role will be responsible for our Chicago conference center and associated firmwide events.

  • Continually review and test new collaboration tools and technologies that assist our attorneys and professional staff in conducting successful client meetings and events.
  • Manage and maintain AV vendors, systems, and associated platforms.
  • Ensure production events are facilitated by working closely to plan, set up, and support our clients and attorneys.
  • Manage AV resources to meet daily operational requirements of the firm.
  • Work to continually assess and evolve our collaboration platforms as new technologies become available.

This position will be in our Chicago office but will work across our 16 offices to assist and direct key audio-visual, video conferencing, and collaboration meetings and initiatives. Travel is required but expected to be minimal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with firm leaders and the operations team to monitor and maintain metrics around conference room spaces to ensure we are meeting the needs of the firm and clients in providing a high-quality meeting experience.
  • Responsible for all high-profile firm events requiring video conferencing or specific audio-visual systems. Work closely with internal and external clients to determine their audio-visual requirements. Work collaboratively with our Business Development and event staff in planning and supporting events.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and support of video technology platforms and audiovisual systems.
  • Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedure guides and inventory of audio-visual systems and associated components.
  • Conduct system software upgrades as required (Crestron, WebEx Control Hub, Mersive, solstice devices)
  • Produce monthly reports and statistics on firmwide audio visual usage.Coordinate customer satisfaction surveys and post event feedback sessions.
  • Coordinate meetings with customers to identify event schedules and coordinate advanced testing for high profile events.
  • Responsible for video recordings of firm events and training sessions.Coordinate required editing and publishing of content. Assist with recording podcast or other digital media as required.
  • Supervise vendors and audio-visual staff in the Chicago office.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to attorneys and professional staff on audio-visual equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Must be listed on resume to be considered)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 + year of supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 + years of working knowledge of audio-visual technologies, platforms, and tools in a corporate environment required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is an in-office role and will be expected to be in the office at least 4 days per week.
  • Experience with collaboration platforms and audio visual / videoconferencing technologies including WebEx, Cisco Control Hub, Microsoft Teams.
  • Expert knowledge of video conferencing, audio conferencing, and remote presentation technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Web Conferencing applications (e.g., WebEx, Zoom, MS Teams).Basic understanding of Active Directory, LAN/WAN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with meeting room booking software, digital signage systems.
  • AVIXA CTS, or other accredited certifications preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of firm's operating system, software, and hardware (Windows 10 and general computer hardware and software configuration).
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and provide exceptional customer service and work in a high-performance environment.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Solid understanding of general business management with the ability to lead projects.
  • Ability to analyze issues, establish priorities, anticipate consequences, make decisions, and initiate action.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Work occasionally requires more than 35 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
