Reviewer/Review Attorney

The Reviewer/Review Attorney is responsible for working with the Firm's clients, attorneys and members of the eDiscovery and Information Governance team in reviewing, analyzing, and organizing evidentiary materials for use in litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, responsiveness, critical thinking skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Competently use various document review tools and platforms to conduct review of litigation or transactional documents pursuant to written protocols
  • Learn the substantive case specific information needed to accurately review documents for every matter assigned and escalates questions to the case team to fill in gaps in knowledge
  • Recognize privilege communications and conduct review of documents for privilege under the direction of a team lead
  • Draft privilege logs by following instructions categorized in a written protocol
  • Follow directions from Winston Legal Solutions managers and balance/prioritize multiple assignments
  • Meets hours and pace expectations for all matters assigned
  • Recognizes gaps in review instructions or provided materials and raises questions to appropriate resources
  • Work in a results focused manner with personnel in multiple departments and across multiple offices
  • Work in a collaborative team environment, proactively sharing information to maximize the quality and efficiency of the team's work product
  • Understand the principles and policies that govern the operation of the Winston Legal Solutions
  • Deliver superior customer service
  • Provide weekend or holiday office coverage on a rotating basis, as scheduled

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (must be listed on resume)

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with current active admission to any state bar association required

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience performing large scale document review work desired
  • Competence or demonstrated ability to quickly achieve competence with project-specific document review platforms, such as, but not limited to, kCura Relativity
