Description

Responsible for overall management of assigned carrier accounts, taking a leadership role in developing mutually beneficial working relationships, achieving account efficiencies, and furthering the success of both the carrier's and Cass's business through reporting, process improvements, and training to facilitate the carrier's full utilization of Cass services and products. Provides clear direction to all internal staff concerning carrier processes. Remains in collaboration with the Automation team, Client Relations, Business Systems and Carrier Sales, providing insight to all groups regarding areas of opportunity.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Independently manage all the service activities with our largest carriers and communicate verbally and in writing such that a collaborative relationship is developed.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all the services and tools that Cass provides for the purpose of communication and demonstrating them to the carriers and making recommendations to improve processing efficiency and quality.
  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate the assignment and management of carrier priorities.
  • Thoroughly analyze issues and requests, identify root cause, and clearly communicate solutions to carrier.
  • Keeps management, appropriate internal resources and carrier leadership team informed of significant issues on a timely basis.
  • Function as a positive representative of the company, both internally and externally, in accordance with written principles of the organization without direction or oversight from management.
  • Share knowledge of duties and carriers with fellow employees. Help train and mentor fellow employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • Strong, well-developed interpersonal skills to maximize carrier interaction and develop a working relationship. As well as the ability to work effectively with other departments of Cass.
  • A high level of analytical skills to evaluate and process carrier requests and to understand the client's operational and data processing systems, etc., in support of meeting carrier needs in a mutually beneficial way.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A strong ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally at all levels.
  • A technical level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or related area or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of progressively complex transportation systems experience in a technical setting associated to a transportation/logistics carrier or customer service environment.
  • Customer relations experience in a technical service environment with progressive responsibilities in managing dedicated accounts.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, written and verbal preferred
