Description

POSITION: Senior Director - Education Programs & Services

Department: Ozanam Day Treatment, Gillis Day Treatment, BIST, Build Trybe

Starting Salary: $90,000 - $98,000 annually

(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Director - Education Programs & Services is the organizational leader for Cornerstones of Care's portfolio of campus, community, and consultation-based education programs and services. The Senior Director oversees the direct and collaborative educational support structure in both Missouri and Kansas programs for all Cornerstones of Care student learners and client apprentice training recipients. Through the work of the Senior Director and their direct reports, the education team provides a whole person support approach with a strong educational emphasis and attention to the transition of the client to the next phase of their life. The reach, influence, understanding, and impact of our Education department is such that their support is accessible across each program, as needed, in each Cornerstones of Care community served. This Senior Director position leads teams to achieve the highest of program quality, consistency, and financial health, while ensuring team members strive to deliver services leading to long term positive impact on the safety and health of communities. The Senior Director works collaboratively with other Senior Directors and leaders within other departments of the organization to ensure positive interface in support of the organization's mission and priorities, specifically aligning resources necessary to accomplish goals. To be optimally effective, the Senior Director must have strong, meaningful relationships with leaders at other public and private institutions, as well as community leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS/Minimum Requirements:

Education/Credential Level:



  • Required:

    • Master's Degree
    • Administrator Certification (Principal, Special Education, Career Education, Superintendent)


  • Preferred:

    • PhD or EdD




Professional Experience:



  • Required:

    • Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a building or district level administrator at a public or accredited non-public school
    • In addition to the above requirements, incumbent must:


  • Complete Sanctuary training in a timely manner;
  • Have a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance;
  • Follow all agency policies;
  • Be able to pass state abuse, neglect and criminal background checks;
  • Be able to carry out the essential functions of the position with, or without, accommodation.
  • Perform all job duties in a manner which demonstrates a commitment to Sanctuary values and practices.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of cultural and ethnic diversity of clients, staff and other community partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to perform a range of physical motions including, but not limited to:

    • Lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs.
    • Standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time
    • Kneeling, squatting and stooping
