The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Active Utah Professional Engineer's license in Utah.
  • 4+ years of experience in residential structural drafting/design.
  • Model structural elements in Revit and make changes as needed to each design.
  • Coordinate with architects to ensure that clients' requests and changes are being performed.
  • Perform Structural calculations using applicable building codes and specifications.
  • Determine the Wind, Seismic, and Gravity loads on structures in accordance with ASCE 7.
  • Use applicable codes to provide structural elements with sufficient capacity to resist loads (ACI, NDS, AISC, etc.).
  • Take the lead in managing projects and workloads.
  • Manage a team of drafters and Engineers in Training, providing direction, coaching, and career development.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects.

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of construction processes, codes, and requirements.
  • Experience in Revit is a must.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam is preferred.
  • Detail and goal oriented
  • This role is hybrid with the option to work from home on Wednesday and Friday
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary: 100-120k DOE

Hybrid: (Wednesday and Friday remote)
