Role Summary/Purpose Under general supervision, provides general support the site focused on the movement of materials and tools throughout the shop which includes transportation, handling, and shipping. Essential Responsibilities Provides general material handling support throughout the site, including but not limited to Stockroom, production, shipping and receiving. Loads, unloads and drives material or tools to destination either inside or outside the site in accordance with established schedule Prepares material or product for shipping- includes crating, boxing, labeling and examining for specifications Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required if driving company vehicles) Forklift certification (Required) Language Skills Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Mathematical/Computer Skills Must have ability to apply basic knowledge of math skills. Proficient in basic computer skills and MS Office programs.
