The School District of Beloit has an opening for three (3) Temporary Special Education Para Educators at Robinson Elementary School & Gaston Elementary School. These positions are for 7 hours a day. These are
Long Term Substitute positions based on 185 days prorated based on start date for the 2023-2024 school year only. Candidates should experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, demonstrate flexibility, patience, and be able to work as part of a team. Required qualifications: High School diploma or GED, an Associate's degree, or forty eight (48) credits, or proof of successful completion of a WI DPI approved assessment (ACT WorkKeys, ParaPro-Assessment ETS, or ParaEducator Master Teacher). A high school diploma is necessary, but not sufficient. Candidate must hold or be willing to obtain the Wisconsin Para-educator license.
Rate of pay is $13.53 hour. Start date is: As soon as possible Minority and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications: 1. High school diploma, 48 college credits or an associate's degree; or pass a formal assessment test (ACT WorkKeys, Parapro-Assessment ETS, or ParaEducator Master Teacher) 2. Shall be eligible for Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide Certification #883 3. Ability to lift/move, 50 pounds where applicable 4. Possess basic information technology and media skills 5. Strong oral and written communicate skills 6. Present proof of physical fitness to assume all the duties of the job (standing, bending, kneeling, etc) 7. Able to lift 50 lbs.
