University Archivist And Director Of Special Collections R0000000080 36 Bertrand Library Position Title: University Archivist and Director of Special Collections Position Type: Full time Location: 36 Bertrand Library Categories: Staff Exempt Job Summary: Reporting to the Dean of Library Services, the University Archivist and Director of Special Collections provides leadership and strategic vision for the collections, services, and programs of the Special Collections & University Archives unit of a premier liberal arts university library. Bucknell's Special Collections are notable for their close connections to the University community, including a robust program of library instruction, research services, and exhibits. The University Archives supports the administrative and historical needs of the College. The Director will be supported by a talented and innovative team of librarians, technologists, scholars, and staff working within and across the University. Library & IT has a reputation for excellence, especially in Digital Scholarship, and the Director will be an active leader and collaborator on digital research, preservation, and teaching projects. Library and Information Technology at Bucknell is a unified organization that has evolved dramatically, shedding over time many of the distinctions that frequently separate university library and information technology departments. Physical Demands: Able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds Able to grasp and manipulate fragile objects Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; sit or stand at a computer and use a mouse/keyboard for long periods of time Able to move about the office to access file cabinets and office equipment such as phones, copiers and printers Able to work in an environment with a moderate level of interruption Job Exempt: Salary Range: 65,680.00-82,100.00 The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
