The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative findings to connect decision makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. Today the center is at work in more than 220 communities in all 50 states, helping our nation to improve health status. In 2017, the GHPC added a global portfolio, including work in Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya, and Ireland. The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, community health systems development, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. ABOUT THE POSITION The finance director will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on GHPC's financial operations, helping to analyze, develop, and grow GHPC's financial position. This entrepreneurial strategist will lead with a deep understanding of academic environments and the complexity of public health and government funding assets. The finance director will develop financial projections and scenarios, generate cost allocation plans, and facilitate strategic financial planning efforts that motivate sustained growth. The finance director will model clear, transparent, and effective communication skills and collaborative practice with staff, university colleagues, clients, and funders. The finance director will collaborate closely with the administrative services director on the development and implementation of processes that span across the administration and finance functions. :
Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Master's degree in accounting, business accounting or finance and five years of experience, or a bachelor's degree and seven years of related experience. Preferred Hiring Qualifications: It is expected that the candidate will have at least five years of experience in finance-related executive leadership roles involving deep knowledge and experience in academic and government settings. Ten years of increasingly more experience in accounting and business development. An understanding of advanced accounting and regulatory issues within academic settings. College/Business Unit
