Your Role With Us: You will become an integral part of a dynamic team in a high-risk tertiary care center which provides a family-centered maternity experience where each patient's choices are respected and valued.The L&D unit is a high-risk tertiary care center with over 3,000 deliveries a year. There are 12 labor rooms, 7 high risk antepartum rooms, 2 operating rooms and 3 triage beds in the department. Nursing staff are trained in electronic fetal monitoring and NRP. Over 70% of our nursing staff are certified in Inpatient Obstetrics. The staffing guidelines follow the recommended AWHONN guidelines for Perinatal Care along with consideration for patient acuity. Our team of experts include Registered Nurses, Surgical Technicians, Unit Clerks, Obstetricians and Midwives, we also have a 24/7 OB Hospitalist and Anesthesiologist dedicated to patients on the unit. ADN graduate with less than 5 years of acute care experience required to sign agreement to complete BSN or MSN within 3 years of hire. Note: Employees hired as an ADN prior to October 2011 are not required to obtain BSN or MSN.Current unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.Neonatal Advance Life Support required after 90 days of hire.Minimum of one (1) year of RN Staff Nurse experience required, acute care RN Staff Nurse experience preferred.Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is an equal opportunity employer.
