The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE) is looking for candidates to teach on-campus as Adjuncts in Game Design and Programming courses. You will bring your own game development experiences into the classroom to engage students and lead them toward roles in the games industry. Experience expressing your skills in ways that our students will remember is a criterion for achievement in the role. This position is located onsite and reports to the Associate Dean of SASE. #LI-Onsite

The following courses are available to teach:

What you'll do:

  • Prep for and deliver content for assigned course
  • Access and assess student work and provide feedback.
  • Coach in a studio environment where our students may work in teams on real-world projects.
  • Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course and host course materials.

What we're looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree in the course discipline or a related discipline.
  • 1+ years of teaching experience at the high school or college level is preferred
  • Demonstrated industry experience
  • 1+ years of experience with C++ in or out of an engine. Experience with 3D/game art, Unity3D or Unreal Engine.
  • Practical knowledge of game development pipelines.
  • Understanding of the relationship between the roles and functions of game development
