Project Manager for Resilient PowerClean Energy Group (CEG) has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to work on the organization’s initiatives related to supporting resilient, clean energy development in low-income communities, environmental justice communities, and communities of color. Ideal candidates should have a passion for helping to facilitate an equitable clean energy transition that recognizes and prioritizes the role and lived experience of environmental justice communities and communities of color. They should have proven experience managing multi-stakeholder projects, building reciprocal relationships with partners from marginalized communities, and fostering collaboration. They can approach multiple tasks in an organized and effective manner, working both independently and as a collaborative team member. CEG is a national nonprofit organization working at the forefront of clean energy innovation to enable a just energy transition to address the urgency of the climate crisis. Its mission is to provide innovative technical, economic, and policy solutions to enable communities to participate equitably in the clean energy transition. Position Description The Resilient for Rural Community Health Centers project is a new initiative funded by an award from the US Department of Energy. The project seeks to install solar and battery storage (solar+storage) systems at up to 175 Community Health Centers serving low-income populations in rural communities across the Southeast. For this project, the Project Manager will assist the Project Director to work with partners and coordinate project management activities such as progress tracking on deliverables, stakeholder outreach and engagement, quarterly project reporting, administrative tasks, and supporting the development of informational resources. Through its Resilient Power Project, CEG accelerates the equitable deployment of solar+storage technologies in historically marginalized and underserved communities through policy and program development, technical support, and information sharing. For this project, the Project Manager will support CEG’s goals with project management activities as well as contribute to the development of educational clean energy resources including content development for weekly and monthly newsletters. This position will also contribute to CEG’s technical assistance programs aimed at supporting solar+storage development at critical community facilities. Additional responsibilities will include:

Availability: This is a full-time, exempt position, with responsibilities commencing immediately upon selection of the most qualified candidate. Location and Work Environment: CEG employees can choose to work remotely or in the Montpelier, VT office, or a combination of remote and in-office work. We offer a flexible workplace environment with a casual dress code. Salary and Benefits: Anticipated starting salary is $53,000 - $63,000, depending upon prior experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance with 10% employee cost contribution; life insurance; generous matching of retirement plan contributions; starting four-weeks paid time off; and paid sick days, parental leave, and holidays. Travel: Occasional domestic travel will be required. Business travel typically lasts from two to three days with some weekend travel necessary.
