Position Announcement

Administers the TRiO-Student Support Services program. Contacts, interviews, tests, counsels, and tracks students who are admitted to the Student Support Services (SSS) program. Additional information about the program can be found online at .


Responsibilities

  • Administers the SSS program at Utah Tech University. Including the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation all SSS staff.
  • Administers the SSS grant, including the annual performance report, developing and managing the budget, and grant compliance.
  • Responsible for writing and submitting the SSS grant every five years, next cycle year 2024-2025 with new grant to begin academic year 2025-2026.
  • Responsible for providing all support services to program participants, including, recruitment of students, orientation, advisement, financial literacy, and connecting program participants to campus resources.
  • Monitors student performance and progress toward degree completion and enters student contact in Blumen.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required.
  • At least five years' experience with technical, professional or grant writing, experience with TRiO grants preferred.
  • At least five years' experience working with students in higher education, including an understanding of admissions procedures, degree attainment, and best practices for student success required.
  • Experience supervising others and managing programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, campus stakeholders and to collaborate with campus partners to accomplish program objectives.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations preferred.

Supplemental Information

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time professional staff (overtime-exempt) position. Annual salary of $65,000-$70,000 depending on qualifications & experience. Desired start date of June 2024.
