Position Announcement

This position is a functional technical manager for our recruitment and admissions customer relationship management (CRM) platform, Technolutions Slate. Reporting to the Director of Admission Operations, the CRM Manager will leverage the technical features of Slate to ensure that Utah Tech is maximizing the platform's potential in service of our staff and students. Liaisons with UT Information Technology Services and Institutional Effectiveness to find ways for Slate to integrate with existing campus software and reporting platforms, like Ellucian Banner, etc. Through this work, this position will create new solutions that allow better customer service and workflow for Admissions staff, students using the platform, etc. Additional information about the department can be found online at?.


Responsibilities

  • Perform system configuration in Slate to support Admissions and campus-wide recruitment efforts and tracking.
  • Evaluate current practices and maximize efficiency in admissions CRM workflow. Configure application review workflows, decision release, and applicant transfer process, and complete internal testing of new build and configuration items. Participate in or lead system and user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Create and maintain custom reports and complex queries.
  • Work with Institutional Effectiveness to develop data audits to ensure integrity of the data within Slate. Apply Slate expert knowledge and system utilization data to suggest process and configuration improvements. Assist in project scoping and business requirements gathering.
  • Build and maintain custom portals within Slate for use by Admissions staff, prospective students, and applicants.
  • Support event management, applications, query and report development, drip communication campaign, workflow maintenance, dataset uploads, and integrations with campus systems.
  • Bring technology-focused best practices to all Slate activities, coordinating closely with other Student Information System platforms, and managing integrations across these platforms. Understand system interdependencies and collaborate with project teams accordingly.
  • Create Slate end-user training guides and documentation. Develop standard practices and training manuals for new users and respond to questions from institutional super-users and end-users.
  • Stay ahead of best practices and state-of-the-art Slate development as an active member of the Slate community. Serve as chair of the institution's Slate Management Committee.
  • Perform other related duties, both inside and outside of Slate, as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working with Technolutions Slate as an administrator or back-end solution builder required. Basic knowledge of SQL and HTML preferred.
  • Experience presenting information and data effectively.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with software and service vendors.
  • Experience working effectively, both independently as well as within a team.
  • Delivery-focused, pragmatic, and solution-oriented.

Supplemental Information

POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time professional staff (overtime-exempt) position. Annual salary of $55,000-$60,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Desired start date of June 2024.
