Substitute Child Learning Provider

OneWorld Community Health Centers is proud to operate the Learning Community Center of South Omaha. The Learning Community Center works with children and families to challenge the opportunity gap through early childhood education, family engagement and future teacher preparation. Our goal is to measurably improve educational outcomes for children and families.

We are looking for a mission driven Substitute Child Learning Provider to join our team!

The Substitute Child Learning Provider of the Learning Community Center will be responsible for helping to create and carry out lesson plans and activities and caring for the children of parent participants of the Learning Community Center. This position will interact with children using art, music, reading time, and educational activities. The Substitute Child Learning Provider of the Learning Community Center is supervised by the Learning Community Center Director.

This is a PRN position located in South Omaha (23rd & M.), primarily filling in when teachers are out or when attendance is high. This position has evening schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Bilingual in both English and Spanish preferred with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Must have suitable experience for the position; prefer early childhood or elementary experience and education.
4. Must possess ability to work with children and infants to 6 + years old.
5. Must develop and maintain a commitment to the mission of the center, along with possessing sound judgment, maturity, patience, and excellent communication skills.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Demonstrated ability in customer service skills.
8. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products including, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
